Valorant Ranks Explained: Iron to Radiant

4 min readUpdated October 3, 2026

Valorant's competitive ladder has nine ranks. Here's how they fit together — and what to look for when buying an account at a particular rank.

The ranks in order

  1. Iron
  2. Bronze
  3. Silver
  4. Gold
  5. Platinum
  6. Diamond
  7. Ascendant
  8. Immortal
  9. Radiant

Divisions and RR

Every rank from Iron to Immortal has three divisions (for example Gold 1, Gold 2, Gold 3). Radiant is a single tier for the very top players in each region. You climb by earning Rank Rating (RR) from wins and lose it from losses.

Buying at a rank

Buying an account at a given rank puts you straight into games at that level. Pick a rank that matches how you play — a much higher rank than your skill means tough games and a falling rank.

The rank pages show live accounts currently at each rank, with their region, level and skins.
